Endocrinology

Endocrinology is a clinical speciality in the hospital which deals with glands and hormones. Hormones are chemicals which the body makes and act like messengers from one organ to another. There are many organs in the body which produce hormones including the pituitary gland, adrenals, thyroid, pancreas, ovaries and testes to name a few. Too much or too little of a hormone can cause illness.
